As of version 4.6, the ELN has been released under an open source license. The ELN, originally developed at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, is now being hosted at Sourceforge.

Source code for the ELN is now available from http://sourceforge.net/projects/eln/. Currently, documentation and installation scripts for the ELN client are being maintained at http://collaboratory.pnl.gov.
